The program has been designed around the central conference theme: ‘integrate – connect – progress’. The elements of the theme are described below:

Integrating sustainability into procurement - a key success factor in making sustainable procurement successful is integrating the principles and practices of sustainability into all the processes of procurement, including the approach and activities employed to successfully implement sustainable procurement.

Connecting with other buyers and suppliers - sustainable procurement relies on both the buyer and the supplier working together to improve the sustainability of markets and products.

Progressing sustainable procurement as a mainstream practice - case studies from the public and private sector which demonstrate the gains that are made by sustainable procurement and particularly focusing on the ‘shining lights’ in this area.
